Climbing the shower curtain was actually Everett's idea. He'd tried it before without much luck.

But I think having Leon hot on his heiny this time was all the inspiration he needed.

However, getting back down proved to be the greater challenge.. Silly boys. They weren't very graceful. Gotta love 'em.

Happy Birthday, Girls!

A couple of you have asked about my dear Minnie following her appearance in an earlier post.

She and her sister Rosemary were my very first foster kittens exactly three years ago to the day.

I'll share a bit of their story with you during the hiatus after the Ducharmes have been placed with their permanent families.

I love my girls. They love all the babies. And they love each other.

Lickety Lick

Minnie is spending a little time with the boys today. Her favorite chair is in their room and she doesn't understand the whole quarantine thing. So now that the time is winding down, she's been allowed in for a visit.

The babies like the chair too, so Wesley is being taught how to share. Honestly, I don't know which one is happier. There is some serious purring going on here.

"You other two could use some sprucing up, too! Come on over here boys. Don't be shy. This chair is plenty big for all of us."

Good Morning, Sweetie!

Leon's been fighting a bug of some sort for a little bit. But no more! As of yesterday, the intruder is vanquished and the little guy is back in fine kitten form! The rambunctious little boy-cat has returned.

What a joy to see him feeling spry! And his brothers are glad for the return of the all-important third member of their tag team.

Oh happy day!

Biding Their Time..

The boys don't yet realize that there's a world to discover outside their room.And that's good. They're conserving energy and getting stronger every day. In another week or so they'll be introduced to the other side of the door and all that entails.

I can think of few sounds more heartwarming than kittens full steam ahead on a hardwood floor. A week seems like a very long time. But it's worth the wait.

Kitties and Photos

While I'd like to post lots of photos of my sweet foster babes, it's difficult for me to get decent ones. The kittens are quarantined for two weeks after arrival, and their room doesn't get good daylight, which makes taking photos a bit of a challenge.

I'm also working with a very simple camera, so unless the kittens are reasonably motionless, the results are less than appealing. (Well except to me, of course.)

But I'll soldier on, and post the ones that I think best show them off. They may be sporadic, but please check back now and then just in case!

Isn't he scrumptious? But don't be misled. Everett is a little spitfire. And he has a mean "up on my back legs front paws waving" grizzly bear impression. Oooh, so scary!
