Her new mama Tina is the sister of our shelter cat care coordinator! Tina is also mom to the cutest little 2-year-old girl - oh my goodness. Mom runs a dog boarding facility and is a dedicated animal lover. Maureen - who will now be known as Maureen! - is already loved by her new peeps. They couldn't wait to take her home.
It makes letting them go so much easier when you know in your heart that they've found the right home.
Besides, there's also the distraction of a certain little guy who set up housekeeping in the bathroom today..

You got another kitten??? I'm shocked, shocked, I say! OK, not at all, but it was worth a try :) Can't wait to meet the newbie, and glad to see Alvin is on the mend!
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to speed up time so the little'un in the bathroom can give Alvin some company sooner?
ReplyDeleteIsn't there? There isn't?!?!?!?!
Noooooooooooooooooooooo!
I guess we'll just have to wait, then.
Great news, except for feeling sad about Alvin, but I know he gets more than his share of your attention. Do Minnie and Rosie love Alvin yet?
ReplyDeleteAlvin is so precious. Those poor little bare leggies, though. I hope his fur starts to grow soon.
ReplyDeleteLovely about Maureen's new family. She is a real sweetie.
Yeah for Maureen and her new family!! We know you and Alvin miss her....but what a great new family!
ReplyDeleteAlvin's naked legs just crack me up! Don't tell him we're laughing at him, though. :D
ReplyDeleteYay for Maureen!
ReplyDeleteI swear, I wish I were up near you so I could scoop up Alvin! Then again, I have a weak spot for tabby boys.
Alvin is just such a sweetheart! :)
ReplyDeleteAlvin has the most remarkable coloring... :) he's quite a dapper little fellow!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Katy--Alvin has neat coloring and I could stare at him all day.
ReplyDeleteOh...poor lonely Alvin. :( It's interesting, he has a little baby body, but a mature, adult face.
ReplyDelete@Becky: How is Poofy Pat the Cat? I'd love to see how he has grown into a handsome teenage cat! I'm sure that I'm not the only one. :)
ReplyDeleteDiane M.
P.S. Alvin, you're looking adorable, as expected. :)
Congratulations to Maureen and her new family, and thanks, Sue, for all the updates. I'm so glad she'll be called "Maureen." Sometimes, a name just fits perfectly, and this one fit her perfectly since her bottle-brushin' days. She will be greatly missed.
ReplyDeletePoor Alvin! I'm glad there's a new kitten in the bathroom to keep him company soon!
ReplyDeleteOoh boy, a little friend for Alvin!
ReplyDeleteHe is so dang cute I don't know how you handle it. I mean, I'm sure you have built up quite a serious immunity to this having been fostering and working at the shelter for a while, but seriously, he is CUTE.
How sweet about Maureen! Goodbye and have a wonderful life, sweet beautiful baby girl - we are already missing you so much!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know Alvin already has a little friend in waiting. Looking forward to meeting him!
