My Big Sweet Lug of a Tiny Man
The sound you hear is one that I often wake up to in the wee hours of the night. Tiny sleeps right next to me, and I swear he purrs all night long.
I love my giant guy so much.

i guess i am a mean cat owner. i do not let them sleep with me. no way no how! i am too light of a sleeper to let that happen. i did for a long time, but it got very overwhelming after awhile.
ReplyDeleteOh, Tiny Man, we didn't KNOW there was a ginger mancat living there. You have an awesome purrbox.
ReplyDeleteoh, what a soothing purrr this lovely boy has!
ReplyDeleteAnd he is so handsome! How does he get along with the girls and the kittens?
Webbthistle ~ Tiny's mostly a solitary kinda guy since his best friend Sparky passed a few years ago. Rosie is completely in love with him and is NOT to be dissuaded, but he mostly keeps to himself. And me. He's not mean to the babies, but with rare exception doesn't care to interact.
ReplyDeleteOh so cute! My cat sleeps with me and she snores. Not nearly as cute as this, I often have to nudget her so she stops.. x
ReplyDeleteIf people purred instead of snored, the world would be a happy place. Let's work on that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a total love. It's so sweet the way he rests back after his he's alerted to something going on. He's one of your permanent residents I presume from your comment above? We always have a bed full of cats and I wouldn't have it any other way.
ReplyDeleteThis video should be prescribed to combat high blood pressure, anxiety, and depression. Love me a purring kitty. <3
ReplyDeleteI agree with Shana!
ReplyDeleteAnd Tiny Man is a handsome dood! So glad he got his moment of fame
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....I loves me a ginger boy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a motor he has! Those big gentle mancats just make me melt.
ReplyDeleteMy dear sweet torbie Einstein demanded a "blanket hammock" between my legs every night for her last year or two on earth. Sweet thing slept with me every night for 18 years and vibrated all night long, so I was happy to oblige. She was not so tolerant of my ginger boy Simba joining the party, so he usually curls up and purrs with my husband at night. Now that Einstein is gone, he is slowly but surely starting to come over to my side of the bed. Good thing too... I'm lonely for the purring and he's not really that much of a cat person! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAwww, I love those orange boys. Reminds me of my now-gone baby. I might just put this video on loop all night :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart with such a strong motor :)
ReplyDeleteJust how "tiny" is Tiny Man? I'm guessing not very... ;-)
ReplyDeleteTina + 3 Kittyboyz
There is nothing so soothing as cat purrs..... I'm sleepy now
ReplyDeleteI agree with Shana about swapping snoring for purring.
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine sleeping without at least one kitty scrunched up against me. I sometimes reach out and touch Potter in the night just to activate his "touch-and-purr" feature. Such a comfort!
Keep it up, Tiny Man!
Have you thought about recording Tiny Man and offering a cd to insomiac? I bet they would finally sleep thru the night that this lovely and soothing lullaby.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I too am fortunate to have the companionship of a big, sweet ornj guy in my life. I think my husband is is favorite, but that doesn't matter because we can both hear his purrs.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwww, super adorable!!
ReplyDeleteAww...what a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI too have a big boy, 15 lbs and solid black, with a super loud motor who loves to sleep ON me every night. He sprawls out on my chest, buries his face in my neck and purrs. He'll stay that way for hours on end.
In fact, I think he needs a cuddle right now....
Aw...! He reminds me of my big orange tabby baby boy Malcolm!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Brooke, I can't sleep with my kitties either! I love them to bits but I have too many sleeping problems to begin with. :( I just give them twice the kisses in the morning.
ReplyDeleteTiny Man is so sweet. He has such a loud purr, he reminds me of my grumpy old kitty Boo.
I keep saying that the makers of "white noise" machines and programs need to add cat purrs to their repertoire.
ReplyDeleteWas Tiny Man a runt that grew up really big? I have a kitten that's doing that.
Gracious! That purr was enough to prompt my sleeping kitten to join in while my older cat kept trying to find the purr in my computer.
